Personal development was also highlighted with 82% of students agreeing that their communication skills had improved.

Variety of Courses

"Our goal is to provide students with the knowledge, skills and experience to support their contribution to society, employability and on-going lifelong learning programme."

  • UCLan offers a wide range of courses to choose from, including the option of studying part-time. The University aims to provide stimulating and challenging academic courses in an innovative learning environment. This ethos is among the reasons why the University has recently developed the largest 3D lecture theatre in Europe, where students will learn to produce material in a 3D format.
  • UCLan is constantly looking for ways to branch out and expand, and therefore develops new courses when there is a demand for them. For example, in 2009, UCLan launched the UK’s first new architecture degree in ten years
  • UCLan was selected by the National Skills Academy (Nuclear) to develop foundation degrees for the entire nuclear industry. A new suite of nuclear postgraduate courses was launched in 2011.
