Colorado State University (CSU) is one of the Unites States’ leading research universities, with world-class research in infectious disease, atmospheric science, clean energy technologies, environmental science, and many other disciplines. In the most recent academic year the school attracted more than $300 million in research funding.

The university hosts 1,300 foreign students and scholars from more than 85 countries, and 357 student organizations offer many opportunities for involvement and professional development. Fort Collins, with a population of 140,000, is located on the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains with 14,000-foot peaks visible to residents. CSU is 100 km north of Denver, the 21st largest metropolitan area in the United States.
